Isabella Kurek of Norwalk was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) at six months. Children with SMA experience increasing muscle weakness and destruction of nerve cells leading to paralysis and death. Isabella and her family joined us at MilesforMyles. Isabella sadly passed away in October 2010. We continue to support SMA research at Johns Hopkins Medical Scool.  Isabella’s memorial information can be accessed at  www.oursmaangels.com.
